I looked back at the previous page (I have 50 posts on a page) and didn't see any of your pics with a chocolate chick. Is this a new one or one from a while ago?

What color do you call this?

And, here are a couple other possibilities, too .....

I think the one in the first pic looks closest to a chocolate, the others seem to have quite a bit of red and chocolates don't have red (from what I've been reading). No expert mind you......but please keep us updated with pics as they grow out.........love all the colors!!!!! Off to bed now........

PS......Bob, Sorry I can't give any guidance of the deliquent Icelandics....

I must have missed the post(s) re: the Icelandics having the Houdini gene. In their defense however, it was actually their neighbors who were infringing on the Icelandics turf. I think they heard that they (Ice's) were getting their own coop and run, and wanted to join in on the fun. Must have figured they didn't need ALL that space to themselves.

Mary, I've been meaning to say I love your pictorials. I have to wonder though, you have those other 'toys', but no tractor? They are SO much fun! (and useful too) Then when your land yacht gets stuck, you can get a tractor stuck right next to it!

Oops, did I say that out loud?

But seriously, I really love the pictures, the humor, and I'm green with envy over you actually having vegetation on the ground! I'm watering the desert next to my house to try and get weeds to grow for the chickens to scratch at.

I don't have fences, except between my neighbor and me, to keep his ankle biter dog in his own yard. I'm thinking of putting up 4' of welded wire fence and 3' of chicken wire on top of that, thinking maybe, (hoping) it would keep the coyotes out of the yard. But as it is my chickens already fly up on top of the chicken coop, which is 7' tall.

i like the last pic. Nice chicks.
