Wow... and I thought I was only jealous of Mary's place.

I'm really excited for you too, you have really worked hard on that chicken house... and I just learned that Jason Minnix who has Lyle Behl and RALA Icelandics from me is coming in tomorrow at about 11 AM so you may get to meet each other. He is a Beekeeper and I am establishing two hives of native Texas honey bees to help avert the die off of honey bees. We will be setting up a hive in my Garden, you can post pictures of all that tomorrow if anyone here is interested...

Wenatchee?!? Cool! I have an aunt in Cashmere. That's beautiful country there. Should be perfect for Viking Chickens!

Lol my highschool was rivals with cashmere.
I went to HS in Leavenworth.
I live in the mountains so Icelandic chickens in my orchard would fit in well.

You are related to someone in cashemere??

who are they. I am related to half of cashmere through the Jergens, Weythmans (sp) and Bromfields....
cashmere is really inbred.

I don't know how long his family has been there. Their last name is Webb. She is my mother's sister. The brothers are all accountants, I think, and I know they have an office in Leavenworth. Now that's an interesting little town! Gotta love all the shops!!! It makes me smile to think of Icelandic chickens in a Bavarian themed town! I visited them in Cashmere for 3 months about 3 years ago. It's really beautiful all around there but I'd hate to be near there in the winter.

No pictures. We had a possible injury of one of the little emus and I got sidetrack and upset. I'll check in tomorrow.

After work I spent an hour or so on my riding lawn mower (which is honestly something I love) and then we took pictures of my Vikings.

First I fed the Juveniles, and of course they had to fly all over the garage. One decided she needed to be the highest, I bet the top of that brooder is about 7.5 or 8' off the ground
