Mary.. I do have some sad news.. I only have 10 eggs developing out of the 72.. 8 look good and there are 2 maybes.. I have decided that whenever possible in the future, I will avoid shipped eggs and only get chicks... I just do not have good luck with eggs arriving in Idaho that hatch..

On a bright note, my little single chick is doing great and amazingly, hasn't driven us crazy.. She is actually very quiet and doesn't chirp much. I'm hoping for a girl since the last two blondies were both roos.. I figure I'm due..

This is driving me crazy Shawn! I am getting 86% developing and nearly 100% of those hatching. I am trying yet a new shipping method on some eggs I am sending out tomorrow and if those don't work out I guess it chicks or nothing else! I am sorry Shawn. Want me to hatch some chicks for you? I am setting some tomorrow and a should have extras.

Thanks for the offer but I should be ok Mary.. If I can get at least 6 out of these eggs I'll have 18 and come next Spring, I'll hatch a bunch.. Right now I am planning on keeping all the roos as they are all different. Next year when I have more, I'll only keep new roos that are unique or special. I really need to get some good pictures this week and post them.. I have some really great looking birds!! Most of the youngest ones are turning out to be crested which is awesome! One pullet looks like a roadrunner and one that I thought was a pullet but now is looking rooish is a crested silver/white/grey and is going to be gorgeous.. I'll take Michelle's camera with the telephoto lens out this week and see if I can't get some decent pictures.
