Thanks Jake! Gave me more than a lump in my throat. She is really a great kid. Has survived an absentee Dad, ADHD, severe learning disabilities, special education, but now is a senior in high school, mainstreamed and on the honor roll. I am so proud of her.

Thanks everyone who posted comments to her. She is going to be so excited when she gets home and sees them. Right now she is shopping for a new cell phone with her birthday money. Go figure!

of the three that I got from last New Years hatch, 2 had wry tail, Vindur and one hen.
From the Easter Hatch, I'll have to have Boston look them over. The one I kept is fine, but one blue one had the fray defect.

I still miss them everyday.

The one I kept is healthy and happy and hasn't found a way out of the coop and run, yet.

I have good news, mine look better today...AND I had a reply from Ed Hart, and I wish I knew how to copy/paste his e-mail here...

Anyways, he said YES his males (and some females) from time to time have that same akward phase where their tails droop, or lop to one side, and is probably due to the musculature not able to keep up with the huge new tail feathers.
Anyone know how I can copy/paste his e-mail here?

Melissa, not curly as in frizzle but some of us have seen some with curved feathers. Many grow out of it. One person from whom I got hatching eggs has seen it in several of her birds and culls for it. I have noted it in a couple of mine.
