Icelandic Chickens

14/14 perfectly wrapped....Mary did her part to ensure the best delivery possible! Now hoping that the post office didn't scramble them

You will find that fertility on her eggs are over 95%... she is doing something right!!!

Okay, not the best group shot, but every time I'd take my hand away they'd break for it. Nine babies!

I really like the color of this baby, apparently hiding in the group shot.

And just to prove Heimo (my feather legged roo) had his "hand" in this hatch, two feather legged babies.

Beautiful Babies!

awsome Deb.. so cute. hoping for a similar number in a few weeks. I am firing up my bator to make sure it works good before I put this weeks batch of Emp's in it...

Thanks everyone and thanks Mary..............you got me started with Icelandics last year for the Easter swap (or was it Valentine's).

Deb
They were part of Mahonri's Easter Hatchalong. I love mine and was happy to share the love with you! The one Campine pullet I hatched from your eggs is living happily at a freind's home near here. She loves Scampi! I would have kept her if she didn't lay white eggs like my Icelandics......

The only non-Icelandic I kept from the hatchalong was a barred olive egger pullet from Bhep...she is barred and has a muffs and a beard but no olive eggs......

I like her looks and her beige egg is distinguishable from my NHs so it's all good! No NY hatching for me...I'll have to "participate" through the eggs I sent mbmess2003!
