Icelandic Chickens

They were part of Mahonri's Easter Hatchalong. I love mine and was happy to share the love with you! The one Campine pullet I hatched from your eggs is living happily at a freind's home near here. She loves Scampi! I would have kept her if she didn't lay white eggs like my Icelandics......

The only non-Icelandic I kept from the hatchalong was a barred olive egger pullet from Bhep...she is barred and has a muffs and a beard but no olive eggs......

I like her looks and her beige egg is distinguishable from my NHs so it's all good! No NY hatching for me...I'll have to "participate" through the eggs I sent mbmess2003!
the eggs have been resting in the incubator since yesterday....

My hatch has completed, nine out of nine. I'll try to take pictures of them today.

Another hatching addict in the making! I was a nervous wreck my first hatch.
Okay, not the best group shot, but every time I'd take my hand away they'd break for it. Nine babies!

I really like the color of this baby, apparently hiding in the group shot.

And just to prove Heimo (my feather legged roo) had his "hand" in this hatch, two feather legged babies.

I want that one.

That incubator isn't full enough. No eggs stacked on top of each other. Haven't you learned from Mahonri how to pack (ie cram) eggs in a bator?
