Icelandic Chickens

What's wrong with this rooster? He never developed a tail and he is roach backed. Is it something that can happen to any breed or just Icelandics?

Here he is with his brother in the background.

He appears to have lacing on his breast. How old is he? Was he like this as a chick? Did you breed him? ...if not, where did he some from?

Hi all! Mbmess I just love your chicks! I have good news and bad news ... The good news is that I actually have 2 Icelandic chicks instead of one! One that I thought was a dorking sans the extra two is actually an icee:):) the other day I had to put up a second heat lamp for them ( winter hatch is something I likely won't do again..) and I got a good look and got sooooo excited seeing the other chick!!!! The molting must have just come threw! I went to take a picture of them tonight after sneakily catching them, but had forgotten to bring my phone aka camera :( . Tomo I will try!!
Ok so the bad news is that I thought I had 4 full grown hens but now have come to discover one of my she's is a he... :( last night I heard a random crow and came out to find him crowing . Disappointing . I had questioned the gender in the past but had concluded in the fall it was a female I guess I'm wrong... Here is a pic of my 'new' rooster and then pictures of my other two Icelandic roosters

Here is a pic from a different angle and you can see his breast.

He is eight months old. I thought he was a female for a long time. He has two brothers that developed male characteristics fairly quickly, while this one looked like the hens until he finally got hackles, saddle feathers and a big comb and wattles. He never grew a tail.

I hatched them from eggs I got from Mary.

My flock came from Mary and I have never seen this in my flock so I would say that perhaps there was an injury as a young chick or a malformation before hatch, and that it could happen to any breed.

She is beautiful!

He is pretty handsome too. Love the one feather crest.
I had a feeling....even though I was holding out hope. I think my ratio is going to end up 4 cockerels and 2 pullets

Since I wasn't sure if it was genetic, and I don't need three roosters anyway so I culled him today. He is in the crock pot right now and smelling great!
