Icelandic Chickens

Are you rebuilding your flock? Or are you just taking a break from getting more Icees for a while? Sorry that you lost them

I am going to keep some in my layer flock but that will be it

I lived in Fresno/Modesto one summer and got to visit those trees... sad that we've lost so many of them. Before all of the cutting they had their own ecosystem.

my little red, white and blue boy running around while i was cleaning coops yesterday. only took pics of him but need to get more of the others....one has started to crow. it sounds like a toy car horn!

Handsome! I love it when they first start crowing.

I once had a rooster named Ford because when he started crowing, he sounded like a Model T horn. Too bad he was a mean bugger.

Brad, love your little roo! He seems friendly, too.

Thanks, guys. I am doing better today. Still having problems with being dizzy, but I made it to work fine. Trying to drink a lot of fluids to see if that helps.

I put the roo and 3 of the 4 christmas pullets in the with the big girls.

When I went to make certain they all had gone to bed. The four young Icelandics were in one of the 7 nest boxes. I picked each one up and put them on one of the lower roosts. I hope they stayed... I turned off the "big" light but the timer light was still on for another hour.
