He is a good source to get them from. He is serious about the breed and it is the only breed that he has. He's added different lines to his breeders since I got my flock from him, so you should get a great variety!Yes that's the one!
Or hope to find an Icelandic enthusiast who would like any cockerels. I don't think I could deal with culling any from a breed people are trying to conserve
I havent checked ebay in a very long time. Who is it?I've been checking out some Icelandic hatching eggs from a flock in Wisconsin on Ebay- has anyone here gotten icelandics from there?

There is a small hatchery in WI that advertises the Wishard turkey. http://www.heritageturkeyfarm.com/ is their website.

I will gladly send you a dozen eggs when it gets a little warmer, I wont even try to send eggs with our winter conditions. Almost half of my eggs now are frozen anyhow. PM me with your address and I will figure you for some eggs in April.
My turkeys at the moment are 3, one Black Spanish Tom, one Bourben Red Tom and a Black Spanish Hen, So I am going to see if the mixed pair will raise some poults. I intend to buy a half dozen of the Bourbens this spring, but am also going to be searching for some Wishards. A free flying, homesteader Bronze breed. They are my hands-down favorite turkey, by far the cheapest to raise as they greatly feed themselves when allowed to range. My one reservation is that at this time we have about 30 wild ones close into the area, often get them in the yard.
To me the Wishard turkey is on a par economically with Muskogee Ducks, the cheapest to raise ducks I have ever had because of their free ranging abilities. So I am hoping to find a source for the Wishards, a great other free ranging homstead breed to go along with the Icelandics.
I had one very dark Isi son free roaming but finally caught him up, his single comb got badly frozen. He is recovering but I am wishing I had put him up much sooner. Bad on me. This is a major reason why I will only be using Rose Comb roosters from now on. Many thanks to Mary Notafarm for my stock of them. Bjorn is as my Isi, retired, in a life home. Both he and Isi are beauties, very nice temperament. I may very well let either or both sire some chicks just to have them for a backcross, BUT, to a rose combed partner.
These are also the calmest and nicest tempered chickens I have had next to the Mille Fleur D'anvers. Two of the roosters, and one pullet will always meet me at the pen door and jump into my arm. Gotta love a chicken like this ! Mary has some really sweet tempered chickens !
