Icelandic Chickens

So glad everyone's hatches seem to be going well!!! I have been absent because I have been on chick brooding duties. No broodies yet, but still working at it! Mary, the mama and baby pics are precious! Here are a couple of my Icees on a sunny day:

Hooray! :) Hoping for babies!

Kathleen, your rooster is just lovey.
Thanks, Red! He is a great roo! He makes "clucky" noises when he gets something yummy. He calls his Icee girls over and let's them eat whatever he thinks is a treat. It's pretty sweet.

Pyxis- hope your hatch goes well! Keep us posted!

I watched one of my boys pull berries off of a bush and feed them to the hen right next to him, once :) It's fun to watch them. The cockerel I currently have tries to call me over when he finds "treats". It's kind of cute.

I have seven chicks! I think the last egg has died but I'm giving it time. Good color variation and it looks like at least one has a crest :D

Awesome Maldwin!! I need to get with you and get some eggs. It would be worth the drive up your way. I have been hatching a lot of barnyard mix to sell but really want more Icelandics and an Icelandic roo. Glad yours are doing well!

Coopcop let me know when you have time to come by and I'll start collecting your eggs.
