Icelandic Chickens

Fertility picking up here at Camelot. 5 eggs that went in on the 31st are all fertile. And I have put in every egg laid since then too... mua haa haaa.
Now that the bator is full I really really need a couple of my silkies to go broody.
*If only there was a 'push here' button for broodiness...*

So post us some of the horsie photos. I wanna see! I wanna see!

looks like I am getting into the fray! I will be recieving eggs shortly. The more I read the more interested I become. The gene side of it has me totally fascinated and the conservation part is also very interesting. I do believe I will be teaching several lessons using this unique chicken as motivation...I might even have to cut back on a breed of pigeon!

Uh oh!!!!!!!!! You asked for it!!!!!!!!!! And I LOVED Iceland!!!! If you EVER have an opportunity to go, you're in for the trip of a lifetime!

Here are some of the horses I saw - they are considered a National Treasure. They do NOT allow the importation of ANY horses, of any breed, under any circumstances. Period. And they are not kidding. If one of their horses leaves the island (say for competition in mainland Europe) they are never allowed to re-enter the country.

I once heard the term, "unspeakable beauty," to me it's a fancy way to say, "there are no words." That is how Iceland seemed to me:

Gorgeous pictures, Kelly. I went to Iceland a few years ago, and it has been one of my favorite trips. What an amazing place.
And hey, you're just over the bridge - come check out my chickens swap on April 2nd!

Too funny with the turkeys! That's a lot of them, too!
