I am making corned beef and cabbage today. I made two separate ones and will be taking one to my parents. My recipe uses dark ale and beef broth as the cooking liquid and is super dee-lish. The recipe is on my blog. I cooked theirs in the crock pot overnight and man does my house stink! My parents like to eat really early so I knew I wouldn't have time this morning. They are getting the corned beef and vegetables, Irish soda bread, Irish butter and green cookies. Mine is in the oven on low and slow.

Here's my official St. Patrick's Day greeting to my peeps on the Icelandic thread. This is my Dollarstore Diva, Diana decked out in her St. Patty's finery. Looks like she wants to kill me.

The green eyes were a fluke! I was wearing the green bracelets I planned to use as earrings on Diana and her eyes reflected the green when the flash went off. That was the only picture out of the bunch with the green eye. Michael thought I photoshopped it in!
