While I was gone I plugged my hovabator in and put a hi/lo thermometer in, one number for both ! Gotta love those Hovabators, this is the combo one, only had two hatches from it before and both were excellent, just some of my hatchery RIRs. I am REALLY looking forward to april!!

Icelandic eggs!

Meanwhile keep those pics and chicks coming.

Daria you can build/plan runs for me anytime.

But here in northern MI we include parkas in ours.

Ok as of this morning I have from Notafarm- 9 out of 11 eggs set 1 clear, Kathyinmo-4 out of 14 set 2 clears. I will give them another day and see what hatches, I have all colors, will try to get pics soon and post them..... Thanks, Mary and Kathy, I love them!!!! Lynn

Dang those Icelandics are fast and wiley. DD went to barn this morning and comes back hollering 'The chicks are out, the chicks are out'
*sigh*, apparently someone (hanging head in shame) did not latch the brooder door last night and there was a breakout.
7 tweens were running amok amongst the free range 'Dottes and Orps.
Took us 20 minutes to round the little pissants up. Any other chick would have been begging to go back to the warmth of their brooder.
Not the Icelandics. We'd get right up on top of them and POOF! Gone.
There is still one on the lam but DD the Bounty Hunter is on it. The bounty is a trip to the ice cream store.

What a day!
