I'm glad you found someone to take them. What are their plans? Will they be in the dumpling pot?

I dropped off 8 Icelandic and 4 Java eggs at a friend's to put in her incubator for me. She'll set them tonight.

SLW incubator is sticking at glue to her nest. Gets off when I come into the barn and open her dog kennel, takes a giant broody drop, eats her special treats and drinks some water and back to the next she goes. She is all business.......love that girl. Wish some of the others would take the hint.

It's back to below freezing at night and upper 30s and low 40s for highs during the day. Maybe they're waiting on some warmer weather!!

Oh, My!! I'm sorry to hear you'll only have 3 out of 8 but glad you've gotten some!!! I can't wait to see pics!! I know the weather was warmer the week I collected Lynn's eggs, I wonder if the eggs got too cold before I collected them, or if the Post Office just treated yours rougher. I'll send you some more later if you want!

They definitely went through some bounces on the way here. The ones that didnt make it had detached air cells. =/

I have some of Kathys under a broody and in the bator. If my other silkies want to brood, I may just take you up on that. The two that are completely out are reddish brown. Woot!! Pics soon. Waiting for camera to charge. ugH!

Dont mind the Partridge Silkie. She's just hanging out trying to stay warm. LOL
BTW...can you see that monster comb on the chick on the right? I think he used it to break out instead of his egg tooth.

Looks like Ari is really throwing some color! I know they are all his since he is the only boy with my Icelandic girls (Audun has been in with the laying flock sincle last fall). Since they are both so similiar in color, did you happen to notice if they both came from the same type of egg? Remember how you commented on the "torpedo" shape of some of them? I don't know yet which girl lays which egg but they are two distinct shapes.

Waiting for pic of # 3!
