Michelle I am moving them this morning instead of this evening, just in case.

That 'earliness' has to be one of their survival traits, and fast development another ! Both are fine to me. Get them out from under the broodies and get on surviving. Gotta love'm !

Mary does your Sir Giles progeny need a mate? here are the first three out!! Coronations are so sweet, they run to me when I open the door! Another 4 eggs are chirping!!

Here's a little video I shot yesterday morning of Lukka and her baby enjoying cornbread with the rest of the Viking flock. That baby is fearless. The day before, I took a plate of greens down for the flock and the baby jumped right in the middle and everyone ate around it! That is why I took my video camera with the cornbread. Notice proud Isi is always close by.

My coronation looks a lot smaller. Were these from the pullet eggs too? Mine was right at home in the brooder though, running with the big dogs. At ten days old, the leghorns are staring to roost in the brooder. It is so cute.

Ahhhhh... Spring in Idaho!!!

Here's what we woke up to this morning....

Lukka and Isi are looking great! It is easy to see they are in charge. The others know to keep their distance, don't they! That baby needs a name. She/he is gonna be a very special one!

Shawn, I am so glad I moved south. I hate snow!
