Icelandic Chickens

Welcome Barrdwing! I was hoping you would find us. Thanks for the sympathies on the rat. That was quite a shock to find that yesterday. I guess we are lucky living in the fishbowl. The properties that border the creek have it worse than we do. I suppose I could get a barn cat but they can be bad with chickens and chicks as well. Hopefully eliminating the entry points will eliminate the problem.

Hillbilly Hen, If you get eggs from Mary, you could have one that looks just like him!! She hatched him and sent him to me as a juvie last June. He is quite the handsome guy now....and knows it!! You look like you have quite the variety already......beautiful youngsters!!

Laree,

Nice cake......(taking note that I'm not nearly as far off the edge as I thought)...can't wait to show my daughter who is learning to deocrate cakes! She's always looking for ideas!!

Great news that so many Icelandics are hitting the ground all over the country!!!

BTW Kathy, I hope you have a strong mailman!! The box of chocolate I sent today will give him/her a hernia if they have to carry it very far..

Shawn,
9 are out and 2 more working hard on it. Express Mail leaves my post office at 5PM. I have a heat pack I am putting in the box. Day 21 begins at midnight tonight, so (as usual) the Icelandics are early!

On the chocolates ..... just think how heavy I am gonna be!
