I hear ya! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever hatch more than 22 eggs at one time! Hindsight is always 20/20! Wonder what the resale on the Brinsea's is?

Lots of people swear by them...so pretty good.
They seem to go on ebay pretty fast for well over $100 depending on the model. I am holding out for a Brinsea Octagon Advance EX

I believed the BYC reviews, too, only to be very unhappy with mine. I am glad others like theirs, but I hate them. I hate unscrewing every single dang screw to clean the top where the heating element is. It fills up with down with every hatch, and I don't even hatch in them! I only use them as "recovery rooms," to dry and fluff the chicks. I thoroughly clean my incubators every week with every hatch. Those are the WORST things to clean! That is only ONE of my complaints.

Kathy,
Heres a little trick I use, I use canned air, you buy it at a home office supply store, its for cleaning computers, it totally cleans every nook and cranny as long as its dry! Its simple, safe, and effective! I hope that helps!

My brinsea must be way different than yours, because the bottom is like a bug sealed tupperware. Hollow, like a little tykes toy. Does that make sense? It is like washing the dishes.
