Oh, by the way I am back home, no progress on the Icelandic eggs yet. Before I put the 4 eggs in lockdown I candled them and they looked good so hoping they will hatch.

Okay, I'll get us back on topic. Not that I mind looking at chocolate, granddaughters and silkies.

I braved the cold, wet, rainy day to get a few pictures.

Here's Briet, since she was hard to photo last week. She was puffed up here, but I think it's cool how her comb swirls to the side.

And a front view of the comb:

And this one shows her regal looks and her gold flecking through her body.

And couldn't leave Luna out of the photo op:

Nice pics Kelly! I changed my mind about moving babies around today! It is pouring and so cold and windy out right now. I'd start a fire in the wood stove if I had wood! Brrrr.

I agree, plus if I was them I would not want to be moved in thee cold and wet. Leave me be, unless you are adding another blanket on me.

I got the chicken house to-be moved today and in place, leveled up and ready to start the floor tomorrow, will then line the inside with ply or osb, have to put a south facing window in and the run outside, by the first, should git er done easy.

Also got my garden tilled today, planting some chard and other greens tomorrow, we had ice on the bird bath and van window this morn, but it warmed up into the 50s with a nice sun, I have my tomatoes, squash and pepper seedlings sitting outside, time to bring them in.

Life is good, but better with Icelandics

My six little ones get more fascinating by the day. Anxious to see which are roos and which la femmes, making bets with myself, it will be interesting to find out !
