Thanks Kathy and Kelly! I've pretty much decided that shipping eggs isn't for me. Too disappointing, but I love the few I did get. One puffy faced BWA from Mahonri hatched. I hope it's a girl!!
I feel like the most blessed old chicken man on the planet!
Laree brought over six gorgeous Icelandic chicks to put under my persistent broody but that's not the biggest blessing.
Her husband made me A BROODER for outside... I'll get pics tomorrow. My wife is overjoyed that she won't have to have baby chicks in the house, ever again! It is SO BEAUTIFUL! It even had a bow with a card to my wife cuz Laree knows how much my wife loves to have baby chicks in the house for two weeks (NOT!) after they hatch!!
This brooder is AMAZING and she even put tubs beneath it to catch the poo!!!
What an entirely absolutely wonderful surprise!
What a great thing to have friends like Laree and her husband!
Beautiful chicks Mary. I wish you had gotten more to hatch.
Don't know why this is happening to so many people. Oh, I forgot to say: I mailed your sign today via Priority Mail. Edits today to say I wish I lived closer to Laree!
I am just sitting here thinking I should go to bed, because I have to be at work at 0630. But, I was also thinking about those Icelandic eggs in the Sportsman. Should I do it? Should I go candle them?
