LOL! Thank you! But I'd drive you bonkers. Seriously. I need a treadmill to power my laptop. It would keep me in line.

*le sigh* Oh well. The MIL decided the kids were driving her bonkers, and paid for Ender to go to another week of sports camp. So, I gotta jet and drop him off.

IN OTHER NEWS: it rained!

My Easter Chicks still sleep out of the coop, on the ground, and I have a bajillion bedraggled silkies, duckles, Alohas, & poults. Best part: it is only going to be 99 degrees today (at 82% humidty)

I know what you mean Laree!! I interviewed for a Controller position some months ago and thought I had the job. The CFO called and told me they had decided to give the job to "someone less qualified" as they thought they would be happier with the salary. I 've lost track of how many jobs I have applied for the past year that I haven't even gotten an interview.. MBA and 20 years experience and I can't even get an interview... go figure!!

Hi Mary

The chicks that you shipped to me join the older ones in the chicken house today, except for one trio that is going to a local place this week. Their growth is excellent.

One roo I would keep only for his size but he has gorgeous dark mottling and I dont know what else will be, also keeping a crested mottle roo.

Also they are just one shy of being 50% crested ! But, not a one has leg feathers, so the one trait to be added for sure and concentrate on.

I am keeping the full range of colors, and enjoying them all. I really love a splash wheaten and the Blue Wheaten, both come right up whenever I open the door to the brooder to be petted. All have been handled and quiet right down when picked up.

I am taking 18 to Wa, 10 pullets and 8 roos, but one pair is staying in Boise for the 18. I have put out 8 so far to new breeders, two of them, and they love their new flocks , 3 more go out this week,

Laree I thought of the kitty litter box tops also, I am planning on taking two with me just for that, hopefully will have one laying, The Contessa.

I am sorry about the job falling through, tough times for job hunting.

Kathy have you checked any of the pigeon supply houses? Seems like I saw similar but honestly Larees idea is the most economical way that I can think of.Good enough that I am packing several, and space IS at a premium. But they nest, and can hold other stuff enroute.

Life is good !! And better with Icelandics !

As busy as you sound, I don't think you have time for a job anyhoo....
Hang in there!

Here is the Kella pic of the week. She's looking at me to see if I'm going to catch her and take her back to the pullet coop.... but I'm not, I gave it up after bringing her back every night for two weeks.

Here is a pic of Asta's only chick..........yeah, I know..........boy........

And one of Audun....... I had to take a pic of his gorgeous feathers! He is truly a "peace keeper" with all the different ages groups in the main flock yard. He is "giving the look" to one of the young cockerels who is getting too close.
