Sorry for the interruption folks, Mary asked for baby chick photos. My broody olive egger has hatched 3 chicks so far. The flash washed out the colors.

Wellie chick in center, with two 2nd generation olive egger babies.

for pullets, especially the splash! The black one has feathered shanks, but the splash does not. (I think the wellie is a boy though)

Anyone interested in test hatching 24 Icelandic eggs for me? I set 27 a few days ago and fertility is 67%. I think it is a combination of the heat, the loss of my mature girls to a predator, the reshuffling of the family groups, and the musical nest box games being played by my broodies. I am also packing differently so I want to see how well they ship. So far that part has been good but I have only sent out two batches this way.

If interested let me know. First PM wins! They would ship tomorrow.
