That's what I get for posting from my Iphone.

Darn spelling corrector - gotta figure out how to turn that off.

Can't wait for pictures of the truck all loaded!

Now, do me a favor. When you select the size of picture to post, choose the biggest one. I am old and so are my eyes!

Looks like a really pretty roo!

My latest hatch produced 5 gorgeous Icelandic chicks, two colors/patterns I can't remember having before. I already posted the pics of the orange one. Here is the second. It has so many colors just on it's face alone. He is like an espresso caramel macchiato at Starbucks!

Here is the group of five. Number two asks you to forgive the pose. It just hatched this morning.

I was not planning to keep these guys because I have already have 20 chicks being raised by moms. I was going to post these on Craigslist. I really don't want to brood any chicks right now. But..........I have a new broody who has been sitting for about ten days. I winder if she would accept chicks? Or is it too risky? Darn! Wish I hadn't sold my crystal ball with all my Halloween props!

YES, try the broody! Put them under her at night, in the dark. I bet she will take them, if you remove the eggs. Heck, it's worth a try anyway. It has worked for me.

Mary, don't get rid of any of these. They are all soooooooo unique! I LOVE this batch!

More than usual, I mean!

I think I might give it a try. She is down in the Icelandic coop in one of the bottom nest boxes but it doesn't have a front lip on it. I am afraid the babies will fall out. Wander if I could move her once she is sound asleep into a crate? and put the babies in with her?

Mary, I have a broody Blue Wheaten Ameraucana that's awful lonely with only two Olive Egger chicks she has to raise. She hatched a third Blue Orp but I took it away from her and put it in the brooder with my other English babies.

If you haven't made a for sure decision yet with what you plan on doing with these little guys I can talk to my SO and see if I could bring some Icelandics home.
