HOLY EggWoman!

UNBELIEAVABLE BELIEVABLE!

I need to get some sleep, I've got to be up at 4:30 tomorrow.

On Saturday morning, DW and I are going to attempt to climb to the top of Mt. Timpanogos. Google that one.....

Kathy, do you pen your roosters together or do they each have a seperate pen?

I have 3 pens of roosters right now. One pen has 22 roosters that will processed in a couple weeks. I also have 2 adjoining pens opened up into one, and I had 19 roosters in there. Since then I have removed some and penned them in with breeders, so I now have only 11 boys in there.

In all my experimenting I have found that the males do just fine together, as long as when you make the move you do it all at once. No new ones come in after they are penned. It is best that the location they move in to is a new home to them all. Meaning, no one can claim his home is being invaded.

Really though, I don't have a problem with pens of roosters.

Thanks Kathy. I have been a bit worried with all the boys here. If DH does not have to work this weekend we will be processing at least 7 of them. I have wondered about just keeping boys together in one pen.

I got two eggs yesterday, and one egg today and my two NY Icelandic girls appear to be going through their first molt as the Icelandic pen looks like a feather bomb went off.

We've had more days over 110 than under in the past month and there is no end in site.

Forecast for the next five days....

I operated on Kola's other foot tonight (bumblefoot). This is the "plug" or core that I was talking about. It was like popping a pimple! It came right out. I packed it with Neosporin and wrapped up her foot.
