Icelandic Chickens

Ditto!!!!!

Makes me wonder now who the butt head was that reported you?

I am convinced that it was the neighbors who signed that made the complaint. It was either them, or someone they knew that did it for them. I feel that somehow they knew that I would be going after them for their tree and they decided that they didn't want the fight. I'm real good at detecting lies and when she said, "Oh, with all the work going on in your backyard, we wondered if you had moved". I knew immediately that was a lie so that I wouldn't think it was them.

Dar its often said that " it takes all kind", but that is dead wrong, the sad truth is that we HAVE all kinds.

Keep the full 20 that you can have, make some arrangements for your roos, work on the other neighbors, crappy neighbors
we should be able to turn in for bountys.

This kind of thing is what makes some of us into mtn hermits, with free fire zones around our homes.

Life is good, most of the time, but far better WITH Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats.

Mahonri,

I am going to go out on a limb here and ask the question I know is on everyone else's mind. Are you going to host the New Year's Eve Hatch-along? I know it is probably a sore subject but I have no life and that has been my New Year's Eve party for two years. If you don't host it, I will probably end up drinking in a bar somewhere and getting a DUI on the way home. I won't have the money to pay the fine so I'll have to sell the Buck 'n Run Ranch and move into a senior apartment with Stella, Blind Lucy and Judge Judy. It won't take long for us to be thrown out of there and after they crap up the Hummer we'll all be homeless. You don't want that on your conscience, do you?

Another plus, if you don't hatch, you can't cheat and set early. That would allow some of us honest folks a chance at winning. But, if you do hatch, you can always give the chicks away to homeless people living in Hummers. It's a win/win, really.

I guess what I'll do is try and convince you and Kathy to send me Icelandic eggs.

I'll hatch them, cull the old hens, keep the icelandic girls and give the roos to Boston......

Warden, I love your video of mama teaching her chicks how to drink. They are so sweet remind me of our first bird, Gabby a canary. We had no idea they drank water and had to raise their heads up so it would go down their throat. Neat.

In case I don't win those unique tote bags in your contest, could you tell me where I could buy them? Many thanks.

Kelly! My frizzle has been laying..........

...........in the nest boxes in the silkie coop! I haven't checked those because it was just occupied by a broody and babies. Today the frizzle was frantically trying to get in there but I had locked it to force the broody and babies into the big coop. I want to move my brooder babies in there in a few days. We were sitting on the deck and I commented to Michael about how obsessed she was about getting in there. Tonight when I locked up I found a tiny egg in the big coop in front of the nest boxes. Aha! The light bulb went off and I checked the silkie coop and there were three more in there. They are so cute and tiny! Of course we are still tossing eggs due to recent worming, so I can just admire their cuteness and toss them. She's just about 5 and a half months old.
