Icelandic Chickens

Congrats Mary! Now the wagers begin - anyone wanna guess how long it will take a bantam cochin to go broody?

Jake - you had better watch out. Your Contessa is just a few weeks younger than my Briet. And Briet is on the nest tonight instead of the roost. Now if the darn Barnevelders would give me an egg or two, Briet could hatch them for me!!!!

I won't give her any eggs for a couple more days though, she's gotta be serious about it first.

Dar if you are going to have one thats a beautiful one to have !

Much to do this week, hope to finish the Ark today, get the signs up, and the hay rack on, then I can get finish packing the shop and get my own household stuff packed, might be several long days this week. All to a good end. Its been foggy here, came in for a coffee break, warmer in Cusick by far then here. OTOH this winter will have many feet of snow.

Life goes on and is good, but better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats.

Dar- of the 7 chicks that were supposed to be yours (the one hatched fromthe eggies you gave me), there is a sneaky little roo in there that is NOT a BWA. I am not sure how it happened, but methinks he is a white Icelandic with the fray gene. I will try and take a picture today. It's crazy.
