Kathy, We both may be in for some eggs soon!

Anna and Asta were hatched the first week of May 2010 and their first eggs were layed November 11 and 16, 2010. I saw Audun talking to Kella (hatched 3/31 or 4/1, '11) and Branda (hatched May 4, '11) this morning. He was hopping in and out of the nests, talking to them and showing them how nice each one was!! They were gazing up at him with very intent looks (okay, I just reread this to proof it and it sounds like I'm a bit "over the edge" but who cares!). I know Kleo (hatchmate of Kella's) had been laying (but only very few) before she went broody. I'm fairly certain her two chicks are from her own eggs. I have been wondering why I haven't seen Kella on a nest yet...interesting that there would be such a difference in start of lay, they are at least half sisters and hatched together. They never cease to be amazing!!!

I know, I'm Jonesin' to hatch some chicks, but like I said on the nydh thread, my wife would have a cow and cows are much harder to clean up after than baby chicks.

Maybe I'll be able to convince a few of you to send me some Icelandic eggs for the Easter hatch... and I can give the roos to Boston.

Thanks, I have 3 that are the same coloring, here is roo number 4- I really like this one, he has the biggest crest, but half of the normal crest.
