Update on Barngirl:

I removed her bandage and the wound is closed. I cleaned it as best I could and returned her to the flock. It almost seems now that her foot may be necrotic. The toes are kind of black but I just don't know. It is still warm to the touch. I decided to let her be with the rest of the flock for a couple of days and see how she does. I put her in the coop at bedtime and started her up the ramp to the roost. Her BFF immediately jumped down from the roost and they both headed out the pop door. She limped over with her friend to look for goat chow that might have spilled on the ground from the goat feeders. They do that every night together. It is sad but I have decided that I will not attempt surgery on her foot again. This was the third time and it just gets better temporarily and then comes back worse than before. This has gone on for a long time now and I don't want her hobbling around on an obviously painful leg. Michael said he would do the deed if I determine it is the time to call it quits. I hope it doesn't come to that. She is such a sweet girl with an incredible pain tolerance.

She might just rally and be fine.

Mary, I want to come to your house. My house is full of 12 year old boys (that are sugared up) for a sleepover.

Thank goodness for movies. DH already ditched me and went to bed.

Actually, yesterday he was almost nice to be around, took me shopping mowed the lawn.
