Icelandic Chickens

So, it hasn't rained for a few days and the birdies are all dried out now. I even saw Spike mounting one of the hens, so in a few weeks I am hoping to set some Icees. I need to make a new pen so I can separate the two cockerels and then get some babies from each one.

So, anyone know about colours or is it just a luck of the draw with the Icees? I'm thinking of putting Beau (my Avatar) in with a sort of pheasanty looking one and a blue, and the birchen can have the black, plus he has all the others in the yard as well (but I won't be hatching those).

Congrats Mary on the new baby and also

on the other two being girls.

Well, it looks like that today is the Icelandic's last day to free range until spring, for we are expecting a storm system hitting our state tomorrow bringing lots and lots of cold and snow. It was 50 degrees today.

And we might get 6 inches of snow tomorrow.
