I set 30 Icelandic eggs a few days ago and just candled. Fertility is 70%. That is so weird because the batch before this one was 30% and Kelly's was 30% too. Anyway I will continue to incubate them for a local buyer and see what happens with the next batch.
Mary, I know a lot of people don't put much credence in the effect the phases of the moon have on animals, but there was a full moon on the ninth and fertility is suppose to be greater around a full moon.

I will be collecting eggs for Mahonri, for the Easter Hatchalong, on March 10, 11 & 12 am, the full moon is the 8th. For me it's not the fertility I'm worried about............it's the Postal Service treatment of them once they leave here!!
