The 5 Icelandic eggs were from the Dreki (Audun/Anna) over Kella, Kleo, Brynhildur, Branda and Brella (all Ari daughters) pen that I set-up so Mahonri would get some "little Drekis"! Test hatch....you know.

...wouldn't want to send Mahonri any dud eggs!
It is soooooo windy today. I want to put Krystal and her chicks out in outside pen today to get some sun but I'm going to wait until I get back from meeting with joyous. Hopefully by then it will warm up some more and the wind won't feel so cold.

Seinna, The Other Mary

We're supposed to be getting a heck of a storm for at least the next week, starting tomorrow. They are calling for power outages due to high winds. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I have a bunch of eggs in my incubator due to hatch on the 22nd. NO POWER OUTAGES! I can deal with the weather, but not that!

So did the Isbar hatch Mary?

Today is day 21.....you know the Icelandics have to be early....I'm still hoping the Isbar hatches....it had a VERY wonky aircell but looked developed at "lockdown" (which in this case was putting them under the broody) so I'm still hopefull!!

Yes, that will be my prayer for the next four weeks......and beyond......so many people have set or will be setting for the Easter Hatchalong and we need power everywhere!

There will be blood on the membrane just as there is in chicken eggs. Just let it be and it will get out on it's own. That blood is a good sign. You can send the membrane in for DNA testing. I am so excited for you!
