Ditto on Audun ! Magnificent ! Its frustrating on the regs for the chickens at the border ! For the cats and dogs its simple, an international health certificate with their shots records, and an inspection by the vet, had two, now 3 different readings on the chickens ! I DONOT want to get to a border and have to rehome them there !

Spring is pretty much here in the MI north, escorted in by 3 days of near torrential rains, had to pull over to the shoulder twice yesterday going to the VA.

I think I have one broody, my super tame hen, who now pecks at me when I reach under her. Getting near 100% laying now so debating marking a couple eggs for her and just taking the rest out. Only two nests in there so they all use the same one. Milk crates, works for them.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens !

I got this Icelandic from Mahonri earlier this week, and the more I look at him, the less sure I am that 'he' is a 'him'. But I don't know enough about Icelandics, so I was hoping that other people might have a better guess.

Thats a very well developed RC on him, my pullets at that size had much smaller combs.

I agree.

I have re-homed my Isi look-alike. It was a difficult decision, because I think he is so beautiful. If you recall, he was a very slow to develop bird. He also showed some feather problem early on. He did grow out of it, but I just do not want to take any unnecessary chance that he may carry the fray gene or whatever it is. I also have one gorgeous female that I am going to rehome. Her feathers are just not totally right.

I think you're making a good choice to rehome her. Her wing feathers don't look right.
