Congratulations Daron on the emus, what are their names ? Are you going to sex test them?

Time is clicking off to the move north and still need to find a serious home for my Icelandics, as I posted before I will drive a 100 miles or so to meet a serious breeder part way. I'd really prefer to rehome them to someone here. I am east of I 75, half hour south of Alpena and 2 hours north of Saginaw.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens !

Awww, Kathy, I'd have to give in to that broody face.

Daron - congrats on the emu babies!

Mary - adorable Cream Legbar mama! She's a keeper for sure!

I moved my broody BR last night. There's a couple layers that boot her off her nest when they want to lay. And I didn't want any more dead chicks. (wellie broody couldn't protect her baby and one of the hens killed it) She settled down fine last night, but this morning is pacing. I gave her 2 wooden eggs so hopefully she settles back down so I can give her the real eggs in my bator.

Oh Kelly I hope she settles down. I need to move both of my broodies from the top boxes but I think I'll wait until after they hatch their eggs which are still in the incubator. I am going to give them the real eggs today and take away the wooden ones. I am not even going to put the wooden ones in an empty box for fear they'll leave the real ones for the fakes! I have high maintenance broodies.
