Icelandic Chickens

I'm happy to say that my young flock of Icelandics appears to be two cockerels and five pullets (it seems to go the other way for me so often!). One pullet has a smooth head and the other six all have a very pronounced crests. One almost to the point of being like a blue jay, it's quite cute. One of the cockerels has feathered legs and the rest are smooth. I'll admit, I haven't yet read this entire thread (around the first 150 pages and then since I posted), but do the feathered legs come up that often? It's basically down the side of his legs and his feet are bare.

) She does appear to be a good mama though.

She's like an ice pick with her beak. She pulls her head back and then nails you. Hurts like heck when she does it too.

Tonight I'll have to remove the unhatched eggs from her. Then I can leave her alone.
