Icelandic Chickens

Poor Jack was so riled up! Did you see him stomping his foot. He woulda' let them have it if he was on that side. No sudden, stupid movements around Jack! Speaking of stupid. Stella was returning home after visiting at the house all day. She jumped down from the deck to go over the fence right into the middle of Stuart and Louis! They started chasing and stomping but she managed to get back over the fence in one piece. I don't need all this mayhem.

We are in the middle of e neighborhood brouhaha over the culvert that collapsed on the dirt road behind us. It has to be replaced by those neighbors and they are blaming us for the collapse saying it happened when we drove our motorhome over it ONCE! I have an engineer coming tomorrow to assess the situation and say if that is what happened. UH, it looks like 40+ years of piling more dirt and gravel on top as the pipe rusted away.

They are trying to get the Irrigation District to assess all the costs to us. We aren't even on that road maintenance agreement! Lousy neighbors!

Iam no engineer but can tell you your neighbor is full of s##t it is rusted. probably the bottom is to.

Kathy - I've seen that video before and have contemplated doing it, but haven't had the guts yet. I'd be interested to see how they grow back in. Did you use pliers?

Dar - welcome back! Hope you and your wife had a fantastic trip!

Mary - that pipe is obviously rusted. Lousy cheap neighbors!

It is quite easy. Twenty years ago when my son was in 4H, we would just give them a twist with pliers. They just pull right. Just don't think about what it would be like to pull off YOUR fingernails with pliers

, it really doesn't seem to bother them much. They just continue to grow back normally. We did it on his show birds.
