Icelandic Chickens

The open and youth poultry show was Wednesday. They are cooped in the barn just past the Henningson Pavilion. I was too lazy and it was too hot to walk over to look. I considered entering, but I hate cooping my birds in an outside area with no overnight security, so I decided to pass. I will have my campines at State Fair though. I think all my other breeds are too young to be competitive.

Deb
do you need 2 more campines?????

My stupid broody got off her nest sometime during the night. I found her laying in front of the nest and Mary's Isbar eggs were cold. I put her back on, but who knows if they will hatch now.

One has just been called Stupid Broody until now.

Xs 3 on the chicks, 1rst two are cockerals, not sure on the 3rd, but could be,

I have been verfy busy getting ready for the trip, but have one major concern, my home for the Icelandics has to back out, they are divorcing and moving, Daron is farther then I can drive to, so again looking for a home for them,

five hens and two roosters, both roosters RC, with crests and BBRedwings, one has feathered legs and normal other featherings, one hen is self blue, one black with gold lacing on cape, 3 wheatens, 4 are RCs and one half RC and half Straight. All are gentle.

Also have 4 Mille Fleur D'Uccles, four mos old, coloring out very nicely and a white polish with them,

I will drive an hours drive for anyone interested, thats Saginaw, Gaylord or just west of Grayling. Gas prices are what keeps me from going farther.

I do want a home for them with someone serious else could post notices in the local stores and feedstores.

Time is growing short, I am leaving MI on July 6 and heading North to Alaska.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens !

If they are due tomorrow, don't worry, they should hatch, just keep putting her back on them..
