Yesterday my friend visited and picked up more birds. He took the three white Icelandic roos from my recent hatch. He put all the beautiful Icelandic girls he got from me last time in with the Icelandic roos he got a couple of years ago. He said Miss Polaris and four others are broody, each sitting on nine eggs!

Hi guys,

My Icelandic group from Sheriff Mary is 12 weeks old today. I took some pictures last night, but they didn't turn out great. Some setting is off on my camera and I haven't figured out which it is. Now, all my photos are over-exposed. Regardless, I wanted to show off my babies. I can't believe that the boys are already trying to make more! They are mounting my older hens. Crazy virile birds!

Oh my! Beautiful birds like this make me want to take up Icelandics too! Lol

A question? Are all Icelandics really just a bit bigger than bantams?! Mine are so tiny. They are smaller than some LF phoenixes I have seen!

Drumstick Diva, I am keeping the first boy and the third boy (I am a sucker for speckles and the green/white tail feathers).

Here are two more pictures. One of each of the two boys I will keep. I still have 4 boys to butcher, makes me sad. But 6 boys out of 18 hatched isn't bad!

They are both really handsome boys, although I'm still partial to guy No. 1.

My daughter calls boy #1 "Bluesie" (which sounds to me, like floosie), but I haven't actually chosen a name for him. The speckled one is going by "the speckled one" at the moment.

If you guys have name suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
