Icelandics :)

Check out the Icelandic thread here, lots of sources. The easiest way is to get eggs and hatch them. I am bringing a rooster to Chicken Stock, which is next Sat, the 22nd, ya never know what will be there.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this type of discussion and am hoping to find some new friends who can give advise sometimes. I recently acquired 5 Icelandics, 3 hens and 2 roosters. Unfortunately I lost one of the hens. Within the last 5 days my hens have totally stopped laying. They are in a coop/run that they can't get out of so I'm sure they don't have a hidden nest somewhere. Our weather in SW Washington state has been super warm this year. Could that possibly have something to do with it? I'm expecting some chicks within 10 days that a friend has in her incubator and am excited about that. Back to my egglessness, any ideas? Thanks so much!
