That's a hatchery quality Delaware. Black sex links are barred all over and red sex links have no barring at all. He has more barring than he should, thus the hatchery quality. The yellowing in the feathers isn't true color, as stated it can be from diet, or just dust bathing. Red sex links have big splotches of color on the wings/shoulders, and usually gain more color as they age.
Thanks for responses! Yes, he was a dyed chick we purchased around Easter and he was a very large rooster (IMO). He easily knocked down my 3 1/2yo at the time. I've just never seen a rooster be so aggressive. He would literally stalk you. My teenage brother tripped playing basketball once and the rooster came out of no where to attack him. He also stayed at the front door waiting for someone to walk out. Very handsome but evil. We didn't have any hens so maybe he was frustrated?
