Idaho?

No, it's okay as the bag probably contains the correct amino acids to help digest it. If I was going to put together my own feed, however, I'd put more wheat than barley in the recipe.

It was foggy here today. Went swimming at Givens for the arthritis exercises and it was foggy all the way. But at least the snow was gone when we came back. Chicken water was slush but not so frozen as 2 days ago. I let out the youngsters and the roosters all ran out but only a couple of hens did. I think they were glad all those roos were gone for a while. LOL I really can't wait to get them in freezer camp. I don't have another pen to put them in or I would. They really are getting to bother the girls.

Awesome! I'm still waiting for my silver pullet to start laying. She's in my OE pen and is a total nutcase. She thinks I'm going to kill her every time I go in there. Let me know if you need another roo come spring. I have two blue wheatens and three silver running around for the winter. I'll process them next year, maybe. Rooster noodle soup. For now, they are in charge of keeping the horse manure raked out. They have divided themselves up into zones and have been doing such a good job, that I decided not to round up those guys for freezer camp quite yet. Everything else is done, thank goodness! Those ducks were NOT easy.

Lol, this made me laugh... thinking about those roos as manure rakers.. made me think of, what's his name, that rooster on the cartoons?? The big Leghorn rooster that was always bossing everyone around and trying to court that skinny leghorn hen?? I'm probably not making any sense... it's late, I need to go to bed!! LOL!

Oh yeah, I remember that guy! I think it was the hen that was courting HIM. She had that big headed son with the glasses. I liked that cartoon. LOL

Yeah, I think you're right!! She was always chasing him, haha!!

I have some Leghorn EE's that sound like your silver pullet... they think I'm going to kill them if I go in the run... even though the only reason I go in there is to give them treats, sheesh!! Silly birds!

Foghorn Leghorn :) I used to watch that all the time with my Dad

I'm not sure if this is allowed. If not, please delete and forgive me Mods. I looked in the rules and didn't see anything.

Anybody in Idaho interested in an aussie mix? We need to re-home him and the no-kill shelter here is not an option because he has severe separation anxiety when caged/crated. He is 10 months old(roughly) and great with babies. He is very tolerant. He would do okay on a farm with training. Please message me if you're interested.

I have a couple I could sell you... I have a POL hen and another that is about a year old that is a buff brahma, hatchery (so not great quality but a good layer).. I live in the Ammon area...PM me if you're interested=) I don't have any Wyandottes, though...

Hi, I would be interested in the Buff Brahma if she is available. I have a Light Brahma already, Isabo is one of my favorite hens. I am in Pocatello, but we will likely be up that direction over the Thanksgiving holiday.

To those who are interested I have started a facebook group by the name Burley Urban Chicken Keepers and the Mini-Cassia Bird Brains . It is for local keepers and those who are interested in changing laws against urban chickens and as well as those who just want to talk poultry. Come join us
