Idaho?

I'll start a thread for Chickenstock after the first of the year... Should be lots of fun!!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!
Looking forward to it!

Okay, so I have two bantam cochin chicks available if anybody is interested. They are out of my mille fleur project pen. Yes, I gave in and let one of my bantams have a couple eggs. She was so pitiful trying to hatch out the dummy egg in her nest.

I'll have olive eggers for sure! Possibly black tail buff marans, but I have to see how my test hatches go. I need to increase my stock. I'll probably bring an assortment of bantam cochin just for fun. (calico/MF projects, mottled black, mottled blue, ect) Black copper marans are on the list, too. I'm sure that somebody will be bringing wheaten marans. I'm not sure about the bantam easter eggers or bantam buff brahma.

Didn't you have a Bantam Marans project last year? That would also be a fun breed to have, too, mini mahogany eggs. I am really looking forward to your Black Tailed Buff project, though. I would even be happy with a sport from that project, I am sure they will still be really lovely birds.

I sold my bantam marans project to make room in my coop. The bantam cochins are more interesting and so friendly. I just love them.

I BOUGHT MY GENESIS 1588 TODAY!!!!!!! (NOT EXCITED AT ALL) MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!!!

I also got a less expensive one with a fan for a hatcher, I'll get a second one after Christmas when I've worked some extra shifts to pay these off, lol.... now I won't be able to wait for Jan/Feb to start hatching, WOO-HOOOO!!!!!!!

So, if I sneak a batch of Polish eggs in there, you won't notice them, right? Lol. Even though we gave away our roosters, I still have access to them, and could borrow the Black Polish for a few weeks to cross on my Blue Splash hen. I guess I could split the coop and yard for one small batch of babies. Might need my banties to sit 'em and raise 'em instead. Dolly is a bit flightly.

Haha, as long as you want to take the chickies back, I'd LOVE to hatch them for you!!! But, be warned, I'm an amateur still, but I've been taking virtual lessons from Michelle, hoping some of her wisdom rubs off by cyber-osmosis somehow, lol!! I won't do my own till Jan/Feb because really the only place warm enough for them is my basement, and I just can't stand the thought of having chicks in the house for so long, makes me itchy, haha

Congrats!!! Now you can join the hatchaholics club! LOL I love my genesis 1588. They are so reliable. Once you work out what works best in your area as far as humidity and all that, you'll love it.
