I like using an oxine/water solution because it doesn't degrade when exposed to organics like regular bleach does and it's safe for the birds to be around.I finally made it to the feed store, I even wore blinders so I wouldn't see the baby chicks in all their cuteness (it consisted of putting my hand up by the side of my face so I couldn't see them). Tomorrow will be deep cleaning the coops day.
What can you use to scrub a coop out?
sweet! can't argue with that!Just found this thread. I am in Eagle. Love the poultry laws in this town. Called city hall and asked about the limit on the number of birds (having just moved from Boise) this seemed a wise thing to find out. Answer "we don't regulate poultry we leave that up to the CC&R's in your subdivision." By the way I don't have any CC&R's.![]()
i have a trio of golden sebrights. The rooster is very protective of his ladies but never gone after people, kid feed him all the time with no issues. I'm in post falls but can meet part way if needed. Hoping to get $35 oboIf there is anyone up in the Sandpoint/Newport WA area, I would love to trade/buy/sell chickens. I need a rooster who is assertive enough to chase cats away but won't hurt kids....![]()
I will be hatching about 7 eggs this weekend. I am sure that there will be a roo in the bunch. If I do... you can buy it as a chick or I can raise it for you to 4 months. They are Lavender Ameraucana. I am looking for a Welsummer Puller or Black Copper Maran pullet. If there is anyone up in the Sandpoint/Newport WA area, I would love to trade/buy/sell chickens.
