In regards to chicks from Dunlap, we bought our chicks from D&B Supply, we weren't looking for anything fancy, and I know D&B get's their chicks from Dunlap. I got exactly what I bought and had no mutts or and all turned out to be hens. We bought Barred Rocks and Sliver Laced Wyandottes, couldn't be happier with them and I would buy from them again. Maybe it depends on what you order from them?

Had a shot glass with some concoction in it at a restaurant in Jackson WY that included a quail egg. You broke the yolk and stirred it up just before drinking. It was like a semi-liquid sushi! Yum!

I'm from Emmett but work in Nampa. What kind of chickens do yo have?

I started some eastern wild and Royal palm turkeys for breeding this spring also. I have a pair of swinhoe pheseants and a silver rooster I need to get rid of.

I'm in Meridian, and due to predator problems recently I'm down to four SLW, a RIR, and one light brown unknown hen. All of our Barred Rocks are gone but they were on the aggressive side so I don't know if I will get more of them. Looking to order several more chicks this year to rebuild our flock. Is anyone ordering from any hatcheries but does not need 25 chicks? T I would like to order some that are not available through local hatcheries but just don't need a total of 25 chicks, more like 10 to 15. If anyone is interested please let me know. I was looking at ordering from McMurray Hatchery but I am open to other suggestions if the shipping isn't to expensive. McMurray is only about 15.00 for 25 chicks total. I'm interested in blue or lavender breeds, but really anything that lays a nice large brown egg. Wish I knew where to get Marans and Cuckoos as I have read they have nice dark brown eggs if I remember correctly!
