Idaho?

The blue chicks out of that cross were obviously blue. The black and brownish ones ended up black with various amounts of copper.

Cute chicks!!! So cool that they are from Michelle's eggs!!

I haven't done it but I'm already a huge fan of trading=) I don't have anything too exciting... lots of baby stuff (including some nice cloth diapers, the newer kind with snaps), some plant starts...comfrey, irises, jerusalem artichoke, thornless raspberries, rhubarb, maybe a daylily this fall (they're a really nice dark red, I'll take a pic when they bloom), sunflower seeds to plant for sunflowers (this fall), ... some extra scrubs I can't use at work anymore, maternity clothes, a few electronic things... maybe we should start a swap page for Idaho=)

Sounds like you're going to have a lot of chicken stew this winter=) I may have to do the same with my cockerels if I can't sell them on KSL or Craigslist...

Oh, I have quite a few to process this fall. The marans make the best meat birds out of the lot, but we'll make use of all of the extra boys. They are free ranging for the summer. When you walk out towards the coops they come running from all directions. I have to pen them up when people who are afraid of birds are coming over. It's quite the sight.

Okay... I did a search for Idaho and sent about 20 PM's to those who are in Idaho... hopefully that will help get this thrad more active!!!!!

Michelle.. I bet that is a site wtching all those chickens run in!! Are there many people afraid of birds??? Seems kind of like an odd fear...

Okay Idaho people.. time to get this thread going!!1 Those silly UT people are getting chickens from each other, gifting roosters (lol) and all kinds of stuff.. And I'm willing to bet there's quite a few of us that have awesome birds (ahem birdguy and pawtraitart=)... We could be doing some awesome networking!!

I'd love to find someone to trade for a small incubator.... If there are any spinners or knitters I have pretty (if I may say so myself!) handdyed fiber and yarn and batts I could trade!

Daloorashens, way to go getting the Idaho thread moving! You know we love you on the Utah thread too :) So I will be a multi state poster haha. I was born and raised an Idaho girl, So I can still claim to be an Idahoan.......

I was at the Farmer's Market today, and say a couple who bought some BLRW chicks from me, they own a small backyard produce and egg business and sell at this market. They just had to cull their FBCM roo as he was getting old and a bit aggressive, she asked if I knew where to get some nice birds.....Ahem.....So I gave her your website Michelle. Maybe she will call ya :)

My little Blue Wheaten boy will go to them if there is not another person who wants him when we get back from Vacation, so I am glad to have a place for him, he is super sweet. :love
