In Boise area (west meridian). Also, just a quick tip: to tell if someone's actually from Idaho, ask how they pronounce Boise. If it's BoiSe, they are. If they say BoiZe, they're prolly joking around or not really from Idaho!!

Hey does anybody here know if a local hatchery besides Dunlap's? We have started going around to different hatcheries and seeing how different eggs hatch. For next year, I plan to go to a different hatchery besides Dunlap in Caldwell

Not that I’m aware of.
Most of them are back east.
There’s Ideal in Texas but you could hardly drive there lol.
You might try googling breeders in the treasure valley area.
I plan to sell chicks from time to time.
I just have Naked Necks right now.
I have many different breeds of females though.

As far as I know all there is is Dunlap. What are you looking for? I know several local breeders. I myself work with serama and gamefowl, if either of those float your boat, I could get you set up with eggs for spring. I am hopeful that I will also have showgirls by next summer also but no promises there, I don't know the sex of the one I have yet.

I may have silkie/showgirl next year, but I do know someone who can help with the polish and also has silkies. I'll shoot you a message.

I've read BYC for awhile now but finally joined and posted last week about my 3 chicks I hatched out this summer.

I'm nearish to Twin Falls and have an assortment of chickens. 3 babies (actually 12 weeks) Easter eggers that I hatched under a broody hen which are all cockerels. 7 teenagers that are just starting to lay at 20 weeks, 3 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 1 light Brahma. And the rest are all at least a year and a half, some Rhode Island Reds, Golden Sex Links, Barred Rocks, Americaunas and some mixes. I've taken in several chickens so I'm not sure how they all are. Total at last count was 26.
