Idaho?

well be going to IF Friday but I don't get that far south with back causing me a lot of pain lately, if ya got someone that could pick it up I could bring down a couple, or maybe see if someone local as know there's quite a few flocks in the area had a late hatch

We spend a lot of time with August. A very smart lil chickadee. Knows when its bed time and is fine with getting comfy with a blankie in the corner if his/her crate that is closest to my bed.
I have been trying to introduce other chicks but it hasnt gone well. August acta territorial over thw food dish and pecks other chicks away.
August seems to be thriving and always gives happy little chirps. I have learned which chirp or squawk means what.
When we are not home I leave music on or even the tv.
August is quite spoiled and spends most of day outside with us or in the house with us.
Iv made sure she/he learns how to be a chicken and isn't having any difficulty hunting for bugs ir doing other chicken things including taking sand baths. Iv got a special sandbox I made just for him/her. :)
Poor thing; you should get it a friend :jumpy

I know cal ranch here in Rexburg just got in some chicks so you might be able to get some at the local one there so they are closer in age

A word of caution:
I read a thread here on BYC about a lady who took some chickens from someone that couldn’t keep them anymore. They were completely human raised mostly inside the house.
These chickens had absolutely NO clue about danger or predators or anything.
It’s like they had no instinct anymore.
The lady said a hawk came down and as she was running outside and her birds were running for cover these other chickens just continued foraging or just stood there.
Unfortunately one was taken by the hawk before she could do anything.
