WELCOME!!!!! I'm in the IF area also=) So is birdguy... Tell us about your chickens...
Glad to know there are more of us around. :)

We have 9 chickens right now. We have a barred rock rooster, 6 red sex link hens, a red sex link of unknown gender and an unknown breed of rooster. I picked up the six hens at CAL ranch back in March. They were in a bin with a huge "Buff Orpington" sign on it. Um yeah, I think they got them mixed up a bit. :) I wanted Buffs but these ladies are as friendly and sociable as the buffs we've had in the past. A few weeks after we got the ladies I went to the feed store and was handed six more straight run. I've been praying they would be ladies but no such luck. We now have 3 roos in the freezer and the others in the coop.

Our daughter named the barred and fell in love thinking it was a hen. Today we found out other wise. After a mini-break down she now wants to get Harold a few ladies of his own so he doesn't have to share with the other rooster. Gotta love chicken drama. :)

What about your flock?

I also have some chocolate pied female muscovy duck babies for sale. $10.00 to $15.00 depending on how old they are. The oldest ones are fully feathered.

I sent that info along on the Utah thread. There are lots of duck people on there :)

Good Morning Idaho! I am now down to 2 chicks in my garage, none in the house, the rest are in the run, successfully integrated so far! Hooray, almost to the chicken dust free zone......this is good news because a month ago I had 36 eggs hatching, 14 chickens in two brooders in the garage and 8 in the house in two brooders lol. My showgirl has finally stopped trying to murder my chicks, so the run is a peaceful place for the moment.

Birdguy, Red LOVED your turkey. She may get another due to her other one getting killed by a dog, so she said she will get ahold of you. Also icelandic baby maybe.....I told her that if she wanted more I could get them for her when I am up or if You or Daloorashens come this way maybe they could hitch a ride. I have decided turkeys may not be my thing. That little guy was a handful lol he whistled and flapped to escape the kennel the whole time he was here. Maybe he just needed a girlfriend :)

Oh and it is Chick days here in Utah.....this happens for the Pioneer holiday, I do not know if they get chicks in Idaho this time of year too......but they are everywhere so please wish for me to have the strength to stay of out CAL and IFA! I keep driving past and stopping the parking lot, but so far I have not gone in

I'm almost done with chicks thank goodness. My garage brooder pens are finally getting cleared out. I do have two FREE first generation olive egger chicks that a broody hatched in the run. My blue split to mottled bantam cochin pullets have started to lay and it's a bit tempting to hatch some of their babies as daddy is a black mottled and very typey.....but I'm holding strong so far! My mille fleur/calico bantam cochin are laying too. I think I need to hide my incubators from myself. LOL

Gahhh! If I were closer I'd take those chicks off your hands... I so want olive eggers!

Anyone seen birdguy? He was going to give me a shipping quote on that incubator he had and he seems to be MIA? Still like to try to hatch some chicks while my family is here.

For those who have been asking, the project marans pullets I have available are either black tailed buff marans or golden cuckoo marans sports.

Geez Michelle, it never stops, my constant wish to to drive over there and get something fun. I love your place :) Those birds look fun, what color would you expect them to lay? Regular brown or dark like the FBCM? oh and Mille fleur bantam cochins? aahhhh my bator would be out in a minute :) I am looking to get some d 'uccle mille fleur next spring, tolbunt polish, and a few more things from you :p I really like my wheaten girls from you, "mork and Mindy", (both pullets) they are sweet sweet babies. We are headed to our cabin over there in a couple weeks, will have to see if anything is still available :)
