Idaho?

Pics
Awww your boys are so pretty!

I am looking for homes for 2 boys also-----1 purebred blue ameraucana, and 1 purebred Black ameraucana....I thought both were girls, until close inspection yesterday, then a crow this morning confirmed. They are Beautiful! Free to anybody on here :)

I am headed to Paul Idaho tuesday, can drop them off anywhere between there and Logan UT, I can go the Pocatello way it is a little longer but would be willing to meet someone there if that found these boys a home. They have to go ASAP my neighbors will be ticked if the crowing goes on :)

These are pics of the blue. Can get pics of the black if someone wants, he looks exactly like this one except coloring. The blacks in the pic are not him. I could not get him out of the shade to take pics.

Ack!! All these pics are killing me!! It's making it urgent that I find myself a barn IMMEDIATELY=), ha, now wouldn't that be cool?

Chickens are just so darn addictive! It doesn't help that my husband is an enabler. He's adding onto my main coop this Fall so I have room for the new varieties I'm raising. My bantam cochins need more room. It would be awesome to have a big chicken barn! :)

Oh my gracious... look at those bantams...wow, they are beautiful!! When I had bantams as a teenager, I just had black, buff, some reddish ones and mixes from the leghorn rooster(yeah, some of them we re pretty crazy looking=) That mille fleur pattern is really amazing!! I have got to do something urgently about the space I have (wish it was that easy, just say it and it's done=).,... I am loving all these colors the bantam cochins come in!!

Hi guys- Thanks to the one who sent me a heads up that this group existed. :) I am outside of Idaho Falls. Thoughts I would say hi.
Welcome!!!
Glad to know there are more of us around. :)

We have 9 chickens right now. We have a barred rock rooster, 6 red sex link hens, a red sex link of unknown gender and an unknown breed of rooster. I picked up the six hens at CAL ranch back in March. They were in a bin with a huge "Buff Orpington" sign on it. Um yeah, I think they got them mixed up a bit. :) I wanted Buffs but these ladies are as friendly and sociable as the buffs we've had in the past. A few weeks after we got the ladies I went to the feed store and was handed six more straight run. I've been praying they would be ladies but no such luck. We now have 3 roos in the freezer and the others in the coop.

Our daughter named the barred and fell in love thinking it was a hen. Today we found out other wise. After a mini-break down she now wants to get Harold a few ladies of his own so he doesn't have to share with the other rooster. Gotta love chicken drama. :)

What about your flock?
I have a couple of barred rock hens if Harold is still looking...
I sent that info along on the Utah thread. There are lots of duck people on there

Good Morning Idaho! I am now down to 2 chicks in my garage, none in the house, the rest are in the run, successfully integrated so far! Hooray, almost to the chicken dust free zone......this is good news because a month ago I had 36 eggs hatching, 14 chickens in two brooders in the garage and 8 in the house in two brooders lol. My showgirl has finally stopped trying to murder my chicks, so the run is a peaceful place for the moment.
Birdguy, Red LOVED your turkey. She may get another due to her other one getting killed by a dog, so she said she will get ahold of you. Also icelandic baby maybe.....I told her that if she wanted more I could get them for her when I am up or if You or Daloorashens come this way maybe they could hitch a ride. I have decided turkeys may not be my thing. That little guy was a handful lol he whistled and flapped to escape the kennel the whole time he was here. Maybe he just needed a girlfriend

He was just lonely... needed a friend...
Gahhh! If I were closer I'd take those chicks off your hands... I so want olive eggers!

Anyone seen birdguy? He was going to give me a shipping quote on that incubator he had and he seems to be MIA? Still like to try to hatch some chicks while my family is here.
Sorry.. got buried... PM on it's way.

I got a huge egg tonight....

Okay, after today's chicken train pick-up, this is what I still have available:

One clean faced blue wheaten ameraucana pullet
Two very nice bearded/muff blue wheaten ameraucana cockerals
One blue bantam cochin pullet (split to mottled)
Three blue bantam cochin cockerals (split to mottled)
Two MF/Calico bantam cochin cockerals
One olive egger pullet (2nd generation)
Seven chocolate pied muscovy ducks (females)
Twenty 4 week old jumbo brown coturnix quail

Plus.....if she's not picked up by the lady who wanted her by August 4th, I'll have one point of lay blue orpington pullet

Okay.....so I just found out that the lady who got an orp cockeral by mistake wants to keep him instead of trading for a pullet. He must be one handsome boy! Anybody need a blue orp pullet??
