Idaho?

Okay, anybody here live Boise city and know of a house to rent that will allow chickens? Me and my bf need to move out of my parents' place where we have been staying for a short time....

You might have to search the thread a little for people on that side of the state and PM them... I;m sure there's somewhere for them!

Michelle.. that's funny about the cockerels! And that your DH is noticing, like mine noticed that there are more chickens out there than I told him we would have for winter, oh well, haha! If that bantam cochin cockerel makes it through the winter, I might be able to find a place for him in the spring...

I'd love for him to go a loving home. If he's still around in the spring you are welcome to him. He sure is nice.

...........chicken math.......there is no escape. Chickens are addictive. LOL

I have a very small flock of very mixed colors, sizes, and breeds. I mostly just got into it for the pretty birds and fresh eggs for us and our dogs. I currently have 13 hens:

Blue Splash Polish Crested with a white crest "Dolly"
Silver Laced Wyandotte "Dulce"
Blue Laced Red Wyandotte "Lacey"
Blue Wheaten Ameraucana "Muffy"
Black Ameraucana (1st gen. Maran cross) "Olive"
Wheaten Ameraucana "Belle"
Rhode Island Red "Eddie (Edith)"
Red Sex Link "Khloe"
Light Brahma "Isabo"
Buff Orpington "Goldie"
Gold Necked D'Uccle "Fancy"
Blue Bantam Cochin "Misty"
Mille Fleur Cochin "Confetti"

Still looking to add a Black Tailed Buff Marans, a bantam Easter Egger, and possibly a Buff Laced Polish.

A couple of the hens are older, only laying about once a week, but we are getting around 8 eggs a day, so no complaints.

I have a friend in Boise, and she has 6 hens. They are allowed in most of the city, but roos aren't.
