I live in Western Colorado and my DH plays pool two nights a week for his "man night." Well I'm getting a bit

being left by myself and have been told "you spend too much time at the house trying to fix it and work. Get out and have some fun, you'll be happier."

Any ideas as to what I can do, other than watching my chickens lol.

This hobby section is perfect. Just browse through all the threads and you will find some great ideas for crafts...quilts, egg decorating, canning, etc.....

Two nights a week isn't "man night". In fact if he's playing pool twice a week at a pool hall/bar I think I'd go to. There's no reason the girls couldn't have their own table to have a drink together and girl talk while the boys are playing games. Heck the girls could be playing darts. He just may be the best guy in the world but I would not trust that the women who are at the pool hall/bar having a couple. "Man nights" at the pool hall/bar are really just going out and having fun nights at a bar without the women. There's no reason you girls couldn't do your own thing there as well. All I know is I would not be sitting at home while he was playing pool at a bar a couple of nights a week.

As far as a hobby goes find one and enjoy it but not so he could feel less guilty about having way too many "man nights".

WOW ... I wish I had one night a week that was allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll mine.
Gosh ... soooooooooooo many fun things to do.
I have recently started taking knitting classes ... I love it

Crosstich is a passion also.
I am trying my hand at quilt squares. Soooooooo many beautiful quilts.
Do you craft at all now?

DH is on a pool league so between practice and league night, he is gone at least once a night a week. What do I do? Play on BYC!!!

Well, actually I am in grad school (almost done!

), so most of the time I do homework. But, before I had school (or once I am done with it!) I will be going back to soap making, canning, etc. I got into cross-stitching for a short while..that was fun (though tedious). Also, we finally got a pool table! Now he and his best friend have to practice with me.

Hobby? You don't need a hobby; you need to get a few of your single friends, married maybe, together and go out two nights a week to singles bars, two nights when he doesn't have his "man nights". That'll make him think it all out again.
