My order of banties came from Ideal this morning! So excited! My cochins, d'uccles and japanese are all accounted for, but I also ordered two assorted bantams for fun. Could I get some help identifying breed, please?

Mystery chick one: Super tiny (smaller than the japanese chicks); chipmunk, clean legs. Maybe OEGB? I've never had one before, so unsure.

Mystery chick two I'm a bit perplexed on. Smaller than a cochin chick, but bigger than japanese; dark clean legs, straight comb, pink skin.

I love the dark chick too! Very calm. Any idea what either might turn out to be colorwise, if they're both OEGB? I just have no experience with that breed.

I'd guess the first chick is probably black breasted red. Maybe black or barred for the dark one (if they're OEGBs, that is).

Thank you! I didn't even know that the could be barred. SO many colors, with the OEGBs! They're both very sweet and calm, so far.

An update on the dark one, who has already started to feather- looks like we have some pale feathers coming in on the wings- blue, maybe? I don't know. I took a picture with the nice camera to get a better look:

No matter what she/he turns out to be, it's an awesome chick- the calmest of the bunch by far. :-)
